Approved Law No. 1628 ratifying
the Revision Act of the Convention on the Grant of European Patents
On November 22nd, 2007 the Chamber of Deputies approved
Law No. 1628 ratifying the Revision Act of the Convention on the
Grant of European Patents (Munich, 29 November 2000 - “EPC2000”).
The Senate had already approved the law on October 25, 2007.
It is now envisaged that the law will complete the relative Istitutional
and Diplomatic procedures culminating in the filing of the ratification
instruments with the Chancellery of the German Federal Republic
before December 13, 2007, the date on which the Revision of the
Convention will come into force.
