accession or European Union to the Hague Agreement concerning
Industial Designs and Models
From January 1, 2008 it is operative access of European
Union to the Ginevra Act of the HAgue Agreement concerning international
registration of industrial designs and models. Thus, Applicants
can obtain, by a single application to be filed with WIPO, protection
within Countries adhering to the Ginevra Act of the Hague Agreement,
and at the same time within the European Union by the Community
Design, with a simplification of procedures and administrative
requirements, and a reduction of filing costs.
