United Kingdom: a new trademark registration system is coming
Radical changes are to be made to the United Kingdom trade
mark registration system in October 2007. UK trade mark applications
will no longer undergo a full examination on the basis of relative
rights and an advisory search system, similar to the one in place
for the Community Trade Mark system, will be adopted.
